MAKVEL Conchiglie, which is the Italian word for “conch” in English, is a type of pasta, often referred to as seashell pasta due to its shape. In Greek, we share the same root of the word “κοχύλι” which means shell. The greatness of this pasta is that, the seashell shape of the pasta allows for the sauce to adhere to it.
MAKVEL Rigatoni, are short, tubular pasta. The shape and size of rigatoni make them the perfect vehicle for a chunky, meaty sauce. The ridges in the pasta help the sauce adhere to it, giving every bite a punch of flavor.
MAKVEL Fusilli, is a corkscrew-shaped pasta that is especially delicious paired with pesto, such as this basil-mint, or tossed with spinach, asparagus etc. It is also delicious in cream sauces and mixed with meat or vegetables. Great in cold pasta salads as well.

MAKVEL Penne rigate, is one of the most famous of the pasta. It is an extruded type of pasta with cylinder-shaped pieces, their ends cut at an angle. The Italian word, “rigate” means ridges in English. The fact that this pasta has these ridges, makes it even more delicious because any sauce adheres well to it. Paired well with creamy sauces, such as: rosée, alfredo etc, as well as in red sauce. Can also be used in cold pasta dishes.
MAKVEL Spaghetti, is a long, thin, solid, cylindrical noodle pasta. It is a staple food of traditional Italian cuisine but also all over the world. It is great paired with Bolognese sauce and other red sauces.
MAKVEL Spaghettini, is a long, thin, solid, cylindrical noodle pasta much like spaghetti, but it is much thinner. Great paired with Bolognese sauce and other delicious sauces such as pesto, aglio e olio (which is garlic and oil).
MAKVEL Linguine, is a flat shaped type of pasta similar to fettuccine but thinne. It is typically served with sauces such as pesto but others such as tomato or fish based sauces are popular as well. Popular dish made with linguine is seafood linguine.
ANDRITSAINA Sour Trahana, is a pebble-size pasta that is fried, used in soups and stews the same way as rice or other pasta, and made into soups that are Greek favorites. It is often compared to couscous in look but different in taste. Comes in two versions sweet and sour. Ideally combined with chicken and/or veal in a stew.
